Xiuzhen received her B.S. in Biology Engineering from Beijing University of Chemical Technology in 2014, and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Peking University in 2020. After that, she was a postdoctoral fellow in Professor Fuchou Tang’s lab at Peking University.

She specializes in developing and applying novel single-cell technologies. She has previously developed a novel methodology based on single-molecule sequencing, that can enable the interrogation of haplotype-resolved genetic variations, including both SNPs and SVs at whole-chromosome scale. Currently, as a postdoc in Zhu lab, Xiuzhen is interested in developing single-cell multiomics and epigenomics technologies to elucidate the genetic and epigenetic changes related to human disease.
