Sihao Huang

Sihao Huang obtained bachelor’s degrees in Biological Science (2018) and Mathematics and Applied Mathematics (2018) at Peking University. He achieved his PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics (2024) at the University of Chicago.

During Sihao’s PhD research at UChicago, he worked with Prof. Tao Pan and developed machine-learning-based computational pipelines to identify multiple types of mRNA modifications simultaneously from nanopore direct RNA sequencing data and explored their roles in immune response and translation regulation. As a postdoc in ZHU lab, Sihao is interested in developing new computational tools for integrated single cell multi-omics data analysis, aiming to advance the understanding of diseases on molecular and subcellular levels. His long-term goal is to contribute to the diagnosis and treatment of severe diseases and improve public health.
